Class Descriptions

Spin 45/60 is an interval based, indoor cycling class. Most instructors ride to the beat of the music. Although this class is a rhythm ride, you can go at your own pace. Instructors do not use weights on the bike, but we do get in and out of the saddle often. Our motto at AWF is “It’s YOUR Ride!” so feel free to work at your own level. Bring a water bottle and a sweat towel. All bikes have cages for sneakers and we have SPD and DELTA (peloton) clips for spin shoes.

This class (as the name suggests) is 45 minutes from warm up to cool down. There are 8 stations and you go through them twice, spending 1:35 at each station. All stations are set up with plenty of options to make and exercise easier or more challenging. The instructor is there to motivate and guide you while you train. We like to say it’s like personal training without the big bucks. There is a short group warm up, then the instructor demonstrators the stations, you spend about 35 minutes training by going through the stations 2x (with rest), and then we cool down. This class is for all levels, but it’s helpful if you have had at least some experience doing moves like squats, lunges, and the like.

CARDIO SCULPT

Cardio Sculpt is a 50 minute class that focuses on deep core, glutes, hips, and upper body. The class uses ankle weights, resistance bands, and light weights to tone and strengthen your body. There are two short cardio songs to get your heart rate up, and those can be easily modified. All moves are set to the beat of the music and the instructor is at the front of the class, doing the class with you. While this class is for all levels, it is recommended that you have some experience in a group fitness class or a strength routine.

YOGA SCULPT

This class is 60 minutes. Yoga Sculpt uses a combination of hand weights and high-intensity cardio bursts for a maximum calorie-burning effect. The hand weights add a new challenge to traditional yoga poses.
